Survey of Fifth Sense Members with Post-Viral Olfactory Loss

This survey is designed to capture essential background information for a trial proposal that will be submitted to the National Institute of Health Research.

Vitamin A is thought to encourage regeneration of smell receptors in the nose when applied directly in the form of drops, as was seen in a recent German study.

However, a carefully designed trial is needed to show if this treatment works any better than a placebo.

The trial will be run by Professor Carl Philpott and the Norwich Clinical Trials Unit at four sites around the UK.
